new materialism through design

Part of PHD Research 2013

The revealing capacity of aesthetic experiments developed out of soap bubbles was used to envision minimal surface principles. These embodiments of thinking established a material base to relate mathematical formulas to space. The experimental, ephemeral, emergent process of `form-giving` (Klee, 1964) is seen as an emergent, constant becoming and interaction of spatial, bodily, cultural and social relations.
